Julie - It is hard to believe that those outfits were revealing (especially the second one), but I guess someone had a chip on their shoulder or something. I also don't think that these girls had the will to actually stand up to the airline employee who told them to cover up.

I agree that if it's hot you need to dress comfortably, and that there probably were other ways that they could have dressed and stayed comfortable without having issues with this.

Ah well, I can't wait to hear how much they're going to sue for... ;)

Jayne - I don't think it's a crime to look at them crosseyed just yet, but you never know. I agree that they've gone way out of bounds when it comes to taking control of the plane and its passengers. They claim it's in the name of safety, but you have to wonder at times.

Gwen - They need to fill 4 hours of content on the Today Show, so I'm guessing that the bottom of the barrel isn't far away...

Snos - Who cares about safety? Come on, you have to dress good so that you can meet someone on the airplane and join the mile high club.......she probably didn't pay attention to the safety briefing either. ;)

Thanks y'all :)

If these women were involved in a plane crash, there is no doubt they'd potentially be in big trouble.

Save the fashion for the catwalk, ladies.. unless you want to risk 80% third degree burns in the event of a crash and fire!

We haven't heard about this story in the UK, so everything I know about it I've read online... I'm seriously hoping there's more to it, otherwise this is really obnoxious.

But then, I've thought for a while that US airline personel have gotten WAY too big for their britches ever since 9/11 and it became a federal crime to look at them crosseyed.

Are you KIDDING me? Those outfits were TOO REVEALING? And some person got so pokered up that she or he said something to the airline, who then complied with that person instead of full on laughing in their face?

WTF?

Where is this country?

The US???

I can unequivocally state that where I live, probably 90% of the people would be considered "too revealing" if those are the standards. People frequently wear tank tops and shorts. It's HOT here. You wear as little as you can, typically all natural fibers. (I think polyester could kill here.)

I wore lightweight linen pants to a meeting on Monday and nearly had heat stroke.

Oh my gosh I'm trying to get over my shock, suspend my disbelief.

I am laughing though.

Julie
Using My Words
