The Week in Walks, etc. Vol 16
Sunday, 4th November
A look at the setting sun through the trees in the forest.
The first day back on Standard Time, and I walk an hour earlier. It also happened to be the last somewhat comfortable day for walking. It was another really ho-hum day for a walk. The sun helped a lot though
Total distance - 5692 steps, 4.55km
Monday, 5th November
The rain is falling in the distance. Or is it snow?
Cold and windy don’t make it a fun time to walk. I put on a hooded shirt with my orange covering, and I was still cold. Just to make things even better, just as I was getting back to the house, I felt a couple of drops of rain on my head; though nothing to get much wet. In fact, I could have sworn that it was actually snow falling, just lightly.
Total distance - 5357 steps, 4.28km
Tuesday, 6th November
Thanks to the wind, a semblance of a path has started to reappear through the leaves.
It was still cold and windy, thus another day with the hoodie on. About halfway through, I wound up pulling the hood off as I was sweating quite a bit and it wasn’t the greatest experience.
Total distance - 5223 steps, 4.17km
Wednesday, 7th November
Another look through the forest to another part of the path which you can now see through the trees.
Still cold, but the wind had finally abated. I still went out with the extra layer on, but not tightening up the hood. I hadn’t been feeling the greatest, so part of the fun of the walk was having my nose all stuffy during the walk. Not too much fun
Total distance - 5434 steps, 4.36km
Thursday, 8th November
A squirrel puts up its tail across the road. I got quite a few pictures of it.
The extra layer has been working well, so I stuck to it again. It wasn’t as cold, so by the time the walk was done, I had the zips open on both layers.
Total distance - 5357 steps, 4.28km
Friday, 9th November
I could absolutely lie to you, say I had a nice walk and everything, but that wasn’t the case. I went to volunteer and because of there being no daylight saving, it’s almost pitch black by 5.30pm now. However, I did get the chance to walk to my volunteering; it’s a short walk (about 1400 steps or so), and I did count for the whole day. Also, this doesn’t mean that I’m not against walking when it’s close to dark out; just not when I’m starting out after dark.
Total for the day - 3392 steps, 2.21km
Saturday, 10th November
Some interesting decoration on the tee for one of the disc golf course…
Back to the routine of walking, and it was without incident. The only unusual thing that happened was that there were some folks on the disc golf course playing through. I chose to go around and do a bit of a shortcut around them; it didn’t cut off too much of my walk though.
Total distance - 5477 steps, 4.38km
Tomorrow, I have my first therapy appointment in the evening, and I’ve got a bit of the jitters, but I know that it should work out to be good - when I met with her the first time, we got on pretty good and I think my outlook on it is let’s see where this goes. ![]()

You need one of those knobs on your steering wheel like Undercover Brother. He’ll teach you how to drive: http://youtube.com/watch?v=6ZeNIGTF3DI

Thanks for dropping by my blog for the NaBloPoMo commenting challenge!
I’m so jealous of your walks. I miss it. Driving, not so much. Glad you’re taking to it though.

Cugat - Nice! Though I think I’d need a slightly larger driving compartment; of course, I am getting smaller though
I think I’ll pass on his moves though, for the time being
Jessica - Thanks for stopping by here as well
I bet it’s difficult to get a decent walk in when you’re in the middle of the desert. Glad you liked the walks
Thanks y’all!
