Breakfast: Chewy Chocolate Chip Granola Bar, an orange and Chocolate shake
Plus a bonus random flag made of muslin. I know that this flag will come as a surprise to some, but I bought two of them. It cost me a grand total of $1.98 at a party store of all places. This is the one that I took to work with me (I was in a bit of a rush so I just brought my breakfast with me to work and had it there). Ironically there is a bit of an international flavour to this breakfast as there is the flag, but not only that, the orange is from South Africa. However, it is mislabeled as “Summer Citrus”. Maybe if it were sold in December or January, I could believe it, but that’s a bit of a stretch.
As far as the granola bar is concerned, it is very chewy (as the title indicates) and again, the Nutrisystem folks have managed to get chocolate into another of their products. This is one of my favorite breakfasts especially on the go. There are a few other bars that I like, along with some of the muffins, but at this point in time, I was out of any of the muffins or scones
Lunch (or dinner as you may see fit): Lasagna with the usual fruit and veg
So, the fruit and veg need no introduction, other than to say that I usually have the strawberries whole, without cutting the stems off (I do not eat the leaves though!)
Being a complete dork and not making note of this, i completely forget if this is the lasagna with the vegetable sauce or the meat sauce. Either way, the filling is very much similar – it has different vegetables in it, along with a cheese mixture..it’s an alright taste, which is something that I like. However, I think that they may improve on it. Also, maybe putting a bit of low-fat cheese on the top, if that is something that is feasible without refrigeration or freezing…
Snack: Um, I forget!
Dinner-time Lunch: Pasta & Beef with the usual sandwich
There is something to be said about my habitual meals, the same broccoli and choice of fruits at lunchtime dinner, and the same exact sandwich at dinnertime lunch…it does simplify the process, and it doesn’t really get too boring oddly enough, which you may expect if you have the same thing five nights a week.
As far as the Nutrisystem entree with the meal, this is a star in my mind, however, I don’t heat it fully up, as I find it just slightly warmed a better taste of all things. I’ve even had this cold for a sample, and it tastes quite well also too.
It’s not really all that spicy, but it is quite filling and has that good combination of the tomato and beef and pasta (as you may expect from a product called pasta & beef! ;))
After doing this, I then drove my car to the gym, and did some weights and this:
Monday Gym: 35 minutes on the elliptical…almost 1km in vertical, and about 5mph

Monday dessert: Carrot Cake
Ah, this is one of those items that is a gem in there. I had gotten it as part of my first shipment of foods (which was a selection of items called the favourites menu), and I wasn’t sure about it, but it turned out really good. You can even see that there seem to be bits of pieces of carrot in the cake itself, plus they have put a frosting type thing on the top as a covering and that is really good
